This web site is dedicated to my family.
To Bill, who humored me for years in my bead frenzy.
To the boys, for their willingness to ooh and aah over my beads each day.
To Aaron, for making this web site possible.

September 8th. Welcome to my revised new site. On this page you'll find ordering information, a list of the shows I'll be at this fall, monthly specials, and my philosophy on beads.  I'd like a great show on the west coast and another on the east coast...if you have an idea for me, send me an email!

My site contains a fraction of the styles I carry...I'm just a horrid picture taker and just prefer to meet you face to face when it's at all possible.  However, I am willing to meet your needs by internet if that's the best we can do. If you wish to order an item, please email me, or call the studio: srhoads@madaboutbeads.com or phone number 816-650-6486. You can offer Visa or Mastercard over the phone or send a check...but we'll discuss that soon enough! What will you see at my upcoming shows?  Great new swirly textured beads. Adjustable necklaces.  Three huge printer's trays full of beads.  A wider assortment of clasps.  Come see me and let's enjoy a laugh or two along the way!

The first to order a piece by phone or dated email will get it, and the product will subsequently be removed from the queue. If you wish to receive my newsletter, only available now in e-zine format, please email me! It will continue to include articles about my zany adventures as well as news about upcoming shows, invitations to my yearly open house extravaganza, etc.

About the artist:  Here's a date I remember--May 22, 1998. I made my first glass bead, and became forever addicted to molten glass. Something magical occurs between the hissing of the torch and the melting of the glass, something that speaks to my soul and gets translated onto stainless steel mandrels in the form of beads.  My beads are all kiln annealed, and guaranteed for life. My jewelry is personally designed and one-of-a-kind. I never factory assemble two of any piece, and popular designs are replicated by memory with differences making each unique. If you need beads, want to assure yourself that a particular piece is sterling silver only, or merely want a piece replicated in different colors, don't hesitate to write me. There is no additional charge for special orders.

Thanks for exploring my web page. I hope to be of service to you.
